Trevor’s interest and love of painting was formulated and encouraged as a young boy by his father. However, when a career in the art world was mentioned this was considered to be a gift to enjoy as a pastime and so a Chemical Engineering degree won the day! However, it was through his studies that he developed an eye for detail and has established himself as one of England’s most gifted miniaturists.
He was brought up in the small sailing town of Emsworth in Hampshire and although to date he has travelled and lived in many places including India, his love of marine subjects is very dear to his heart. Now retired and living in the idyllic village of Ramsbury in Wiltshire his art is now his full time passion and he has diversified his styles and mediums having a very eclectic approach to art.
He exhibits regularly at The Hilliard Society, The Society of Limners and the Miniature Art Society of Florida and is invited regularly to exhibit abroad. One of his most lasting memories was when he was working and living in India and was invited by the late Sir Edmund Hilary to exhibit in New Delhi at the New Zealand High Commission when Sir Edmund was High Commissioner.
